In the second version of evasi0n, the JailBreaking tool for iOS 6.x untethered JailBreak, evad3rs fixed bugs which were occurring once the JailBreak is finished. But now, they have pushed yet another version of evasion which would disable OTA update for people who don’t want to update to iOS 6.1.1 whenever it’s made public in future. Currently, iOS 6.1.1 is in beta and it’s still vulnerable to these exploits.
However, there’s no reason why Apple wouldn’t fix it in the next version of iOS 6.1.1 beta or in the public release. In addition to disabling OTA update, it also corrects a timezone issue in evasi0n binary if user fails to correct it afterwards. If you want these updates, you don’t need to download and re-run evasi0n over the existing JailBroken iPhone, iPod touch or iPad. All you have to do is to download evasi0n iOS 6.0-iOS 6.1 untether from cydia.
